Jack and the Firefly
It was already evening by the time Jack remembered his promise to his little sister. He had told her that he would attempt to catch a firefly for her before bedtime. Jack hurried outside, hoping to find at least one firefly before it got too dark.
He saw a faint light flickering in the distance and ran towards it. As he got closer, he saw that it was indeed a firefly. Jack carefully cupped his hands around the firefly, not wanting to hurt it.
Just as he was about to capture the firefly, it flew away. Jack watched as the light vanished into the night. He was disappointed that he had not been able to keep his promise, but he was glad that at least he had tried.
