The Blooper

It was the blooper that cost the game. The home team was leading by two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning, and the visitors were down to their last out. But the batter hit a blooper that fell just in front of the outfielders, and the runner on first scored from second base. The game was tied.

The next batter hit a long fly ball to deep center field, and the runner on second scored easily to give the visitors a 3-2 lead. The home team went down quietly in the bottom of the ninth, and the game was over.

The fans were stunned. They couldn’t believe that their team had lost on such a lucky hit. It was a real blooper, and it cost the home team the game.
