The Daily Spur-Walk

The Beauty of Nature

It was a beautiful day outside, so I decided to go for a walk. I put on my sneakers and headed out the door, taking in a deep breath of fresh air. The sun was shining and the birds were singing – it was perfect. I walked down the street, taking my time, enjoying the scenery.

Suddenly, I heard someone calling my name. I turned around and saw my friend waving at me from across the street. I smiled and waved back, then continued on my walk.

As I walked, I thought about all the wonderful things in my life. I was so grateful for my health, my family, my friends, and all the incredible experiences I’d had. I walked with a spring in my step, feeling happier than ever.

Thanks for the walk, life. It’s been good.

Promptuarium-Journal Entry

Write a journal entry from a zombie apocalypse by a person who doesn’t realize that they have been bitten.

I don’t know how it happened. One minute I was living my life like normal, and the next I woke up to a world full of zombies. At first I thought I was just dreaming, but then I realized that this nightmare was real.

I don’t know how long I’ve been wandering around this undead city, but it feels like forever. I’ve seen so many horrific things that I’ve lost count. I’m tired, hungry, and scared. But I keep moving, because I know that if I stop, I’ll die.

I don’t know what’s going to happen to me, but I refuse to turn into one of those monsters. I’ll keep fighting, no matter what.

Promptuarium-Just Visiting

You work in a nursing facility where a cat inexplicably visits patients the night they pass.Tonight the cat has visited everyone.

The night shift at the nursing home was always a bit eerie. But tonight, there was an extra feeling of foreboding in the air. All of the residents had been visited by the black cat.

The cat always came at night, and seemed to know when a resident was about to pass. No one knew where it came from, or why it seemed to target those who were dying. But tonight, every single resident had been visited by the cat.

Some say that the cat is a bad omen, a sign that Death is coming. Others say that it is a gentle creature, helping those who are dying to cross over to the other side. Whatever the case may be, tonight the nursing home is shrouded in sadness, as each resident awaits their final fate.

Sarah was always a passionate person. She was never afraid to stand up for what she believed in, even if it meant getting into a fight she knew she would lose.

Sarah and the other protesters tried to drown out their opponents with their chants, but it quickly became clear that the pro-lifers were not going to back down.

Sarah started to argue with one of the pro-lifers, and it quickly turned heated. The other woman was older and more experienced in debating, and Sarah soon found herself on the losing end. Write a scene in which your protagonist must punish someone s/he knows is innocent.

My heart sinks as I enter the room and see the person I must punish. I know they are innocent, but it is my duty to carry out the sentence. I approach them with a heavy heart and a feeling of dread.

The person looks at me with fear in their eyes, and I can see the terror in their face. They try to plead with me, but I am firm. I must do what is right, even if it is hard.

I raise my hand and deliver the punishment, feeling the person’s body tense in pain. They cry out, but I do not falter. I must see this through to the end.

When it is over, I walk away with a sense of sadness and regret. I know I have done what is required of me, but I cannot help but feel remorse for the pain I have caused.
