Kenneth’s Math Woes

Kenneth had always been a bright student. He worked hard and paid attention in class, and as a result, he was usually one of the top students in his grade. So, when he got his report card back and saw a big, red ‘C’ next to his name in math, he was shocked.

He went to his teacher after class and asked what had happened. She told him that there had been a mistake and that his grade should have been a ‘B.’ Kenneth was relieved, but also a little disappointed. He had always strived to get perfect grades, and this ‘correction’ meant that he would now have to work even harder to maintain his spot at the top of the class.
