A Queen’s Dilemma: Choosing a Successor in Erathia

After the death of her father, the throne of Erathia passed to Queen Allarielle. She ruled for many years, and was beloved by her people. However, she did not have any children, and so succession was a big question mark for the kingdom.

Allarielle had a younger sister, Illyana, who she was very close to. When Illyana was born, the queen had been thrilled, and had immediately doted on her. So, when it came time to choose a successor, Allarielle chose Illyana.

Illyana was overjoyed at being chosen, and vowed to rule Erathia with justice and compassion, as her sister had before her.
