I was in the mall, walking around, when I saw something sparkly in the jewelry store. I went in, and before I knew it, I had pocketed a diamond necklace. I was about to walk out when the alarm went off. I was caught!
The security guard grabbed me and led me to the back room. I was shaking, expecting to be called the police. But instead, the security guard sat me down and handed me a pen and a piece of paper.
“What’s this?” I asked, confused.
“It’s a maze,” the security guard said. “If you can solve it, you can go free. But if you can’t, then you’ll have to spend the night in jail.”
I stared at the maze for a moment, then began to solve it. It was hard, but I finally made it to the end. As I did, the security guard leaned in and kissed me.
“You’re free to go,” he said.
I walked out of the store in a daze, the diamond necklace still in my pocket. I had just experienced the thrill of a lifetime, and I knew I would never do anything.
