The Foggy City
The day started out like any other. The sun was shining and the birds were singing. But by lunchtime, a thick fog had rolled in, blanketing the city in a eerie silence.
For the rest of the day, people went about their business as usual, but with a sense of unease. No one knew what was causing the fog, or when it would clear.
By nightfall, the fog had become so thick that visibility was virtually nil. Cars had to use their headlights, and pedestrians could barely see a few feet in front of them.
The following day, the fog was still there. But now, people were starting to get scared. What if it never cleared? What if this was the new normal?
Anxiety was high, and tempers flared. It was a foggy, scary time for everyone.
Samantha leaned back in her chair and sighed. It had been a long day at work and she was looking forward to her lunch date with her best friend, Emily. She was hoping to relax and forget about her stressful day.
Emily arrived a few minutes late, but Samantha didn’t mind. They caught up on everything that had happened since they last saw each other while they waited for their food.
Once they had their food, they dug in hungrily. They both agreed that it was good to finally have a break from work. They chatted easily as they ate, enjoying each other’s company.
Eventually, they both started to get full and they decided to call it a day. They paid their bill and said goodbye. Samantha felt much better after her lunch date with Emily. She was looking forward to the next one.
The Train Delay
The train pulled into the station and came to a stop. The conductor announced that there would be a delay of an hour before the train would depart. The passengers all groaned and began to get up from their seats. Some people got off the train and began to wander around the station. Others sat back down and waited for the time to pass.
Time seemed to crawl by. The minutes slowly ticked away. Some people passed the time by reading books or chatting with their seatmates. Others just stared out the window, lost in their own thoughts.
eventually, the conductor announced that the train would be departing soon. The passengers all got up and began to board the train. Soon, the train was on its way, and the passengers settled in for the journey.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who found a lucky penny on the ground. She was so excited to have found it that she immediately put it in her pocket and ran home to show her mother.
“Look what I found, Mom!” she said, pulling the penny out of her pocket.
“That’s so lucky!” her mother replied.
The little girl was so happy to have found the lucky penny that she decided to keep it forever.
