Xander was having a great day. He woke up, ate breakfast and then went outside to play. He had so much fun playing with his friends that he forgot to come home for lunch. When his mom asked him where he was, he lied and said he was at school. She didn’t believe him, but she let it go.

Later that day, Xander’s mom found out the truth and was not happy. She sat him down and talked to him about honesty. She told him that he needed to be truthful from now on, or else he would get into trouble.

Xander felt bad about what he had done and promised to be more honest from that day forward.
